Event Overview

Emergency Relief for Communities Affected by Cyclone Ditwah

In the wake of Cyclone Ditwah, the Sri Lanka Saukyadana Movement swiftly mobilized to support families affected by the disaster. Thanks to the generosity and trust of our donors, we were able to launch an immediate and compassionate emergency response beginning on 30th November 2025.

Our Emergency Response at a Glance

  • 04 Mobile Medical Clinics conducted in affected communities
  • 190+ Emergency Relief Packs prepared and distributed
  • Areas Reached: Gampaha, Kelaniya, Kolonnawa, Angoda, and Wattala
  • Psychological First Aid Training provided to volunteers with the support of psychology healthcare professionals

Our volunteer teams worked directly on the ground to identify beneficiaries, prioritizing families with children and those most vulnerable. In addition to distributing essential relief packs, mobile medical clinics were deployed to provide urgent healthcare services to impacted communities.

Recognizing the emotional and psychological impact of disasters, we also conducted a specialized Psychological First Aid training program to equip our volunteers with the skills needed to identify and support individuals experiencing mental distress.

The Sri Lanka Saukyadana Movement remains committed to serving communities during times of disaster. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all donors and supporters who made this response possible. Your contribution directly impacted the lives of families in need.
