In June 2025, from the 8th to the 11th, the Saukyadana Movement held its annual Poson Poya Camp, operating two vibrant centers—one at Pethmaga and one at Sarananda. Both centers were alive with activity as devotees and tourists sought first aid and medical evaluations.
Patients, some of whom had been waiting since early morning, patiently queued to consult with our dedicated physicians.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to all our volunteer members who participated in the camp and contributed to its success. From preparing nourishing meals to ensuring the availability of staple items and keeping freshly brewed tea ready for quick breaks, their dedication and teamwork created a supportive environment for both patients and staff.
We are also deeply indebted to our invaluable and esteemed donors for their generous contributions—providing essential medicines, first aid equipment, funds, and food for our volunteer staff. None of this would have been possible without their kindness and unwavering support.
All staff adhered to strict safety protocols, including wearing protective masks and gloves, to safeguard the well-being of everyone present.
By the close of the camp, the two centers had successfully treated 2,033 patients at Pethmaga and 197 patients at Sarananda—a testament to the compassion, commitment, and collaboration of everyone involved.
